Waisted shelf location under cup holder in 04-08?

Has anyone thought of a way to utilize the space under the cup holder in a 04-08 without a console? That little shelf like pocket under there? It is not at any kind of angle or deep enough to actually be used for anything that i know of. Any suggestions? I don't have a CB so i wouldn't use it for that.

I like to leave my checkbook and wallet in that little cubby, just because its out of the way, and people can quite see them if they are peaking in my windows.

I keep my Roush tire gauge and radio remote in there, plenty useful for me.

That thing is wasted space if you aren't gonna put something in it. My Copenhagen would fly out, wallet fly out. Great place for a switch panel or something IMO.

Exactly what I was thinking. Fab a little plastic cover piece to go over it and custom wire in some up fitter switches.

But I dont have that self pocket area in mine to try this. I got the wasted space of the console shifter errrr

If this is the same cubby I'm going to make my switch panel in, then there is no way anything stays in that.

That panel is just a bit above worthless. I have my remote in there and even that flies out on occasion. I plan on making a custom center console but it is a great place for a CB, a switch panel, or anything else you can dream of. It has plenty of space behind it and all common used circuits are close and accessible.

FYI that panel pops out with a slight tug, and there is a cool cubby between the dash and floor panel in there. I used to stash cash bundles down in there while in mexico while doing business.

Turn it into a switch panel... Keep your remote phone etc there... Change...

OR
" You can put your weed in there "

I don't recall what that's from but it just fit...

I know that you said that you don't have one, but my CB fits in there great!
I was gonna suggest that you get a CB until I saw this...
