dog hair in seats
dog hair in seats
i have a gray cloth interior, and i have a great dane with short fine hairs that get stuck into the seats, does anyone know a good way to get this out? i have tried a lint roller and obviously a vacuum. And once i get that out, is there any product i can use to stop it from inbedding itself in the seats? maybe scotchguard? thanks for the help
I am not sure on ways to prevent it from getting in there, as I've been battling it for years with my dogs. But, I've found that if you take a strip of duct tape, turn it inside out and make a little circle with it that you can use like a lint roller, that takes it out pretty good.
Its not all that scientific, and you can try it any way you like, but it might get you by.
If you try the scotch guard, let us know the results!!

X2 on the duct tape. I also found that a good quality vacuum cleaner will some what do the trick. I have a Dyson that works great. I'm definitely going to try and get leather in my next truck. My Lab loves to go for rides in the truck.
And now for a little humor...(very little)

I had two labs and found the duct tape and really powerful vacuum (shop vac) got most of the hair up. But I did have to resort to tweezers for some of them.
Eventually I started putting old bed sheets on the seats when I took them places. PITA if you take them a lot, so maybe seat covers?

I know in canada here we have Pet Smart not too sure if they are an international chain but they sell this seat cover unit and it hooks up to the front seat and catches all the fur. I will be getting one as my pittbulls hair sticks in the seat like needles
