Steering Wheel Emblem??

Here's a random question for anyone out there - i have an '02 King Ranch and on the steering wheel the Ford emblem is just stamped into the plastic (looks cheap)...

Is there anyway to get one of the little blue ford emblems that the newer models have and glue it over? Junk yard? Website?

Thanks all!

I have an '01 SCREW and want the blue emblem as well. I think we have to get a newer air bag. I have been watching some on ebay and noticed that super dutys are the same part and also come in black.

My '03 work truck has the emblem, but my '99 personal truck does not. I considered swapping the airbags, but I think they are a different unit. Does anyone know if they are interchangeable?

Do you HAVE to swap the airbags or can you just swap the covers?

I was hoping it may be possible to simply pry the emblem off a junkyard donor? Seems less expensive and difficult...but may not be possible. Glad to hear i'm not the only nut who is bothered by this!

After examining my sons '02 with blue emblem, it appears that it is inset into the airbag cover. Thus, prying one off and glueing it on will probably look -- what is the term -- ghetto

Must trade the cover or whole airbag

I have a 2002 with the inset emblem. I purchased my truck over a year ago, and the previous owner seems to have become upset with the steering wheel, hitting it and denting the emblem. I'm planning on buying a billet grille and also black overlays for the tailgate emblems, so I decided to take the damaged emblem off of my steering wheel. It just pulls off, there are long metal clips that simply slide out. I wasn't worried about damaging it since it already was, I can't guarantee that if you pull yours out you won't dent it, it's made of thin metal. I'd like to try to find a replacement, and also find one of those decal overlays from Patriot Decals to put over it, black with chrome lettering would look great on my black steering wheel.
