Hi there all, I have a 2000 F150, at fis=rst I smelled coolent coming out of the vents but the heater was working just fine, good heat but becuase of the smell I assumed there there was a leak in the core so I flushed the system and add a Preston stop leak and at first the smell went away but I notices that the there was hardly any heat coming out, the fan is blowing great but very low heat I'm thinking that I my need to change the heater core, does any one have any idea??

Try disconnecting the hoses that run into the heater core from the engine compartment.
(remember to mark what hose goes where ) and take the garden hose and back flush the heater core...this might Help. and remeber to hook the heater core hoses back up.
