Cadillac leather seat conversion.

Found a whole pile of caddy's at a local junkyard, with really super leather interiors. Wonder how hard it would be to mount the front seats in my '95 F-150. Ya Know....with all the heated-ness and power options and stuff. Anyone ever attempt such a venture?

I figure.....if this goes horribly wrong....I can always just snag some Eddie Bauer seats from a fullsize Bronco. No worries....

Either way.....the stock Ford bench has GOT TO GO. Opinions on this are MORE THAN WELCOME. Please.....feel free to share your thoughts on your current seating arrangement.

Glad to see at least one person interested! =)

Yeah...a car's seats. Like from a 90's Seville or something. I found some differences in the seats depending on which model Cadillac the seats are from and I guess the year too. For instance, on some seats, the power options like slide/tilt were on the door....and some are on the seat. I'm going to need those controls to be on the seat...obviously.

I can't believe noone's ever done a swap like this.....I guess I am just fortunate to have the world's largest junkyard about 30 minutes away. I can just go up there and sit in, and try out pretty much any car I like.

And I don't see it being completely impossible to mount the front seats + console. Maybe fab up some bracketry, but that's no biggie really. Minor obstacle....and man....those seats are comfy! Plus....at the junkyard...a pair of seats from ANY car, doesn't make a difference that their leather caddy seats, cost about 50 or 60 bucks. And I found a couple wrecked cars with literally MINT interiors. I feel like I almost have to put them to use somehow. It's sad seeing such nice cars rot away up there.

Anyway....will probably be a couple weeks or so till I get up there again, but I want to start on this soon. My bench seat is pretty stiff/uncomfortable.

i'm wanting to do similar ideas as this, but with king ranch bucket seats, i am going to use my existing floor brackets for the new bucket seats i just got, and i'll just fab up something for the seats to bolt on to to the seat pan brackets to the floor brackets
