Mistery leak on passenger floor

So I have an 06 FX4 and the other day I lifted the floor mat on the passenger side front seat and the carpet was soaked. Smells like it is just water, not coolant. I have the stock rubber floor mats and they are not wet on top at all. Had problems like this before with a ranger and it turned out that the windshield wasn't sealed all the way and was leaking. Just wandering if anyone has had any problems like this so I maybe I get a little direction because I don't see anything leaking with a quick look at it. Truck seems like it is a little new for a problem like that. I live in Washington state so I need to figure it out soon with all the rain we get here.

Detective work needed. There are a number of openings in the floor and fire wall which are normally covered with tap. Is some tape missing ? I wet the floor once with my '03 when I washed the truck and hosed underneath. The force of the water dislodged a plug in the wire channel !! Look under the dash to see if the windshield leaked.

Your AC drain tube is clogged causing it to back-up in the cab. Common problem among these trucks. Do a search on the subject, you'll find plenty of threads on this subject.

So I looked into this ac drain tube deal and it didn't seem to be coming from there because the front of the carpet was still dry and I couldn't find any moisture around the area that it will supposedly leak from. So i pulled the carpet back and found a rubber plug in the floor that had a pretty sloppy fit and I believe that is where it was coming from. So now I am trying to dry out my carpet and I glued this plug down and hopefully that fixed it.

I am having the same issue and last years replaced the 3r brake light. Am I correct in understanding tha there have been recalls or information at Ford that I should look into? Last time there was water pouring into the front via the side "wirechannel" but this time they are dry so I am thinking that it is something coming from front area, or this AC thing.
Help!!

When that happened to me the water was coming from the third brake light. It's worth a check because when it gets past the light it travels straight town passenger side into passenger side floor. You'll need to put some silicone around it after you take it off and drain remaining water. That's my 2 cents
