Kr leather

I have read all of the threads for KR seats that I can take. My seats are in good shape. I clean them at least once a month followed by conditioning with the KR conditioner. Seems to work well but if left in the sun for one day the passenger seat tends to look dried out. And this can be the following day after cleaning!!!!! Im thinking this is normal but dont really know. And the drivers seat becomes dark after about a week after cleaning. Is this because it is used the most?? Any advice or tips???

I'm only assuming here, dforrest, but since your truck is an '06, the seats "probably" haven't had enough time to be really messed up. The previous owner no doubt wasn't informed on how to take care of them, and obviously didn't. The driver's side is probably darker due to more human sweat & oils than the passenger side. It sounds to me like they need a thorough "Spa Treatment" cleaning, followed by the conditioner of your choice. The passenger seat could also be "over-conditioned", leading to a dry, hazy appearance. The leather can only soak up so much conditioner, any extra stays on top and dries out, resulting in the "haze". Ford only recommends conditioning the seats twice a year. You may need to do it more frequently living in TX, especially if it sits outside, but your seats will tell you when they need conditioned by the dry, scratchy feel, not butter soft as usual.

Good luck with your KR, you made a great choice!
