I just bought a 2006 F-150 Lariat Crew. First Ford truck I have owned. It is a very nice truck, however; There is a rattling coming from the center console shifter area. It is more noticeable when I am on the brakes, or going over bumps. Is this a common problem, and is it an easy fix? It really drives me crazy.

 

Problem solved. It was the ashtray door that was lose and rattling. It was an easy fix.
