How do you remove the coat hooks from an 06 screw without breaking something? Is there a trick? Thanks!

 

I also need to drop my headliner. I can get everything else off but those darn coat hooks. Please!!!

 

to remove the coat hooks, get a small screwdriver or blade edge and pop the center cover off of it from the TOP part, the small plastic flap will swing down. it is a sensitive piece so the more you bend it..it will break..one if mine is. anyway, then get another flat head screwdriver, i think a #2 then insert it in the center of the coat hook with the flat wide edge of the screwdriver facing the floor and ceiling. push it in as far as it will go without too much effort behind it and turn the screwdriver 90 degrees in either direction. by doing this, you separate the prongs holding the coat hook to the metal frame. also at the same time, pull back on the coat hook.
