Climate Control Driving Me Nuts!!
Climate Control Driving Me Nuts!!
We have an 07 SCrew that is mainly driven by my wife.
The climate control is in 0.5 degree Celcius increments but when we dial it down from 19 degrees it jumps to 16 degrees and vice versa....one eventually being too hot and the other eventually being too cold.
I finally lost it on a long drive and decided to post for answers here.
Is this normal????
I did change it to Farenheit and it still had a gap in the settings.
Heeeelllllllllp............

is the gap your talking about in Farenheit from 60 to 65 and 85 to 90? if so that is normal. If your talking about setting the temp to about 72 degrees and its either too hot or too cold they have a TSB for this and is covered under your warranty.

Some 2005-2008 F-150 and 2006-2008 Mark LT vehicles equipped with Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) may exhibit intermittent periods of warm air output in Auto mode with the temperature control set between 68-72 degrees Fahrenheit (18-22 degrees Celsius). Some 2005-2008 F-150 vehicles equipped with Electronic Manual Temperature Control (EMTC) may exhibit periods where the cabin temperature cannot be maintained with the control ****. Some customers may also complain the heat cannot be reduced without rotating the control **** well into the Cool/Blue range.
9L3Z-19E616-E Actuator - Motor Asy this is the new part that fixes it.

I looked through the manual to see how it can be changed from Farenheit to Celcius and can't find it.
My EATC wouldn't blow on the floor, finally after a few trips to the mechanic it was established that I just replace the control unit on the dash, everything else was fine. I got one from the scrap yard - $250, only it's in Farenheit.. think I can figure out how to change it? Noooooo!

Temperature conversion:
Press the Max A/C and Defrost simultaneously for one second to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius. The English/Metric (E/M) control on the message center (if equipped) and the trip computer will not change the temperature display.
Well... Anyone else would test it first, but, nah, i'll post then test!
