I have an 07 F150 XLT with the jump seat (40/20/40) up front. My 02 had a full center console that I really come to miss.
I've been searching and cant get a solid answer....what are my options for replacing the jumpseat with a full center console (OEM or aftermarket)?

Will other vehicles fit (pre 04's, excursions, etc)?
Do the 04-08 OEM consoles run as deep as the older models (like my 02)?
Is there anything that mounts and runs all the way to the dash (thought I saw it in a Navigator before, but I'm really not up on my models)?

Ultimately, I'd like to have some security (like build in a mini-safe). My 02 had a seperate compartment that was nice for locking something up in, and it wasn't an obvious place to look if it were being robbed. Cabelas has a vault that I can add into on OEM, but a bit pricey.

you can do it but the consoles are pricey and you will need some new mounts for the front if i remember right

 

Thanks....for which ones are you referring to?...extended?
I would think the OEM full console would use the same mounting as the jump-seat.....am I wrong?

 

the oem xlt console the one that does not go all the way to the dash would not need new mounts, the flow through console with the console shifter needs the mounts, but would also require an entire new dash or something fabbed up to fill the gap between console and dash aswell as a new shifter and steering column cover

or you can do a custom one

 

what about getting a middle jump seat with the console part and cup holders? you can get em pretty cheap and they bolt right up to the old seat

 

Thats what I have in there now, and dont care for it at all.
For me, it's a waste of space. I dont use the seat at all, probably never will....and can really use the extra storage space.
