Dynamat
Dynamat
anyone know about how much dynamat would be needed to cover the floor of an '03 scab? i'm looking to reduce road noise, so should i do the whole floor and all the doors?
To reduce the road noise the most do the doors and the floor. I would say somewhere around 50 to 60 sq ft should be enough, I did the whole interior of my 2dr Blazer with 80 sq ft. That much dynamat is going to be expensive, I used Second Skin Damplifier. Its the same as dynamat but w/o the high price.
I would go with Fat Mat... they have a great product and it is easy to work with...
If you get the 100 sq ft kit, it will be more than enough to cover your truck for what your wanting to do.
I went a little extreme, I have 2 layers on the whole floor and 3 on the floor pans, 2 layers on every door, 2 layers on the back wall, and soon to do the roof

and yeah, since i posted this, i've found fatmat and think that's what i will go with when i get around to it since dynamat is soooo much more expensive and i've ready really good things about fatmat
