Stock Speaker Size

I have a 2008 F150 XLT SCrew and want to replace the stock speakers.

Before I buy any I want to make sure I don't have to do any mods to get them in. I just don't want the crappy ones in there.

What I did was go to Crutchfield, look at what fit in the Expy, then looked the speakers up on Ebay.

6X8 speakers will fit your turck. Crutchfield has been good to me, as well.

yeah any 6x8/5x7 will fit, i just swapped mine out for some Infinity's that crutchfield said wouldn't fit up front but would in the back, and the one thing I could figure was that they had tangs on the outside of the speaker that wouldn't let them fit into the stock holes, so I just cut them off and ground it down clean and they fit perfect

Good deal - I think I like these Pioneer D Series based on what I read and tips from others!

Pioneer: TS-D6802R

I went with the Infinity 2ohm Kappas becuase I don't plan on adding an external amp for my doors, and since they have less resistance, it allows the HU to put a little more power out, and they sound awesome, even with just the stock HU. But I had the Pioneers in my Ranger, the older style, but they sounded awesome, have you considered a component set? That's what I just added to mine and it was extremely easy compared to the Ranger. I noticed with just the stock speaker my leg would block a lot of the sound, but with the tweeter in the stock location you never notice a loss of sound. Just tossing out some idea's
