I've got an 06 F150, now I didn't buy it new so this is where the problem may come up.

Things are too damn big to hold a drink, kind of bouncs back and forth, I'm kind of guessing there's like a rubber insert that goes in there like my old truck. Is that right, and if so where can I get a spare one?

There are rubber inserts for the cup holder areas. As far as where to get replacements, check with your dealer or a junk yard. I was just on eBay, so as of this date, I did not see any of those inserts.
