Chrome Shifter Bezel....

Does anyone know if this can be ordered individually from Ford, or purchased elsewhere? My dealer tried to find it, but said they would have to order the entire shifter assembly to the tune of aprox $500.00.
I just want the chrome trim piece, as the one I have was scratched up by the original owner, likely due to keys or rings or something.

Thanks....

I tried to take mine off to paint it because the glare from the sun kills me. The consol comes apart pretty easily but I could not get teh chrome off. I don't know how to take the shifter itself off and I couldn't get the chrome off without eaither breaking it or taking the shifter off.

I ended up getting some vinyl from a local sign shop and covering it. I would rather have it painted, but this is the next best thing.

Wish I was more help.
