Quick Question about chairs
Quick Question about chairs
Okay, I want to change out my 60/20 Bench for two captains chairs from a lariet edition. Its a 2001 XL, My question is if there are brackets and/or assemblies that i have to change out in order for the seats to sit and move correctly. I have not yet attempted to change the seats nor have i gotten my hands on some. In fact I'm not completely sure that the lariet comes with leather captains chairs. It is a single cab so I'm not sure if that changes anything.
Thnx,

Do a search, this topic has been beat to death before. Someone did it, but had to drill holes, weld brackets, etc to make things work. They come from the factory with the holes for whatever seats are required for that truck, but I think the other holes are "indented" there, or something like that.
I'm in a similar situation, swapping my cloth bench seat for a 60 / 40 bench seat.
The guy I bought my 60/4o from pulled it out to put buckets and a console in, he said he had to do a little fabricating but made it work.
I was told by a junkyard today that all the cab floors are the same and that Ford sometimes put bolts in the extra holes, it was too dark when I got home to crawl under and check.
If you end up not using your 60/40 seat brackets, I'll take them off your hands. I've got a great seat, but the guy kept the brackets and I'm having a rough time coming up with a set of 60/40 brackets and the ones off my bench won't work.
