Window wont roll up

My driver side window when I rolled it down, got stuck in that position. When I try to roll it up, I can hear the power window motor operating, but it just won't roll the window up. Does anybody have any idea what the problem could be? I've got the door panel off, but I can't see what is going on in there.

Alot of 04's have track problems. Search the forums, I know there is a writeup about how to take out the track and fix it.

I just had the same thing go wrong on my 04 SCREW. Luckily I have the extended warranty, but now I have go to the stealership and have my track replaced. I am trying to find the post to take my door panel off so I can prop my window up.

Most likely the window regulator and motor. Works on a cable/pulley system with a lot of plastic parts. A plastic piece broke and I had to buy a whole new assembly. Cost 80 online compared to 300 if I took it in. Once you get the door panel all the way off and disconnect power switches it is very easy. Hope this helped.

I have had this problem too, But luckily my x girlfriends father was a auto glass man... haha Well short story... It was the bushings and he helpped me replace them, it was only like $3 tops but the real problem is YOU HAVE TO know what your doing, because there is a huge spring inside the motor to help with the weight of the window. like he told me.. YOU WILL GET YOUR FINGER CUT OFF IF YOU DONT WATCH WHAT YOUR DOING.. but i would suggest taking it in.
