How to remove Seat Cover/Fabric

How do you remove the driver seat fabric of an 03 f150. I need to take the fabric off on the upper part, so I can access the lumbar support. It is really squeaky and I am gonna put some grease on it.

I have an upholstery shop and although I don't re-upholster a lot of newer cars (mostly aircraft and custom street rods) I can advise you that usually, you can detach the backrest cover while seat is still in the truck. On my 2001 I have a hard plastic shell on the back of the seat. First remove that shell and you can access the plastic strips that hold the cover one. If you don't have a hard shell on the back, tilt seat all the way back and feel along bottom edge of cover where it contacts the seat cover. You can usually un clip the two plastic slides that hold the cover together. Think ziplock bag style. Peal the cover up the backrest far enough to access the lubar mechanism under the foam. Hope this will help

I keep hearing unclip the two clips. Where are these clips. I found on the lower backside the big plastic strip but I cant figure out how to unhook the parts. Can someone explain this a little more to me.

Thanks

This is a little hard to explain without showing you but I'll try. Tho two long plastic stips are hooked together. One is a "U" shape and the other fits into it. They are held together by a barbed side on the one that fits into the "U" . Kind of like a fish hook. The hardest part of getting them apart is the start. If you take a screwdriver and force and end open you can peel it appart that way. Then just zip the rest appart . Putting it together is easy , just push inside of each other.

Oh so it is kinda like one part has a lip, the other has a barb. the barb is stuck in the lip, so if you can get the end of the barb out, the rest will just slide apart?
