Warranty Question...HELP!
Warranty Question...HELP!
Hey guys,
I was just finished up cleaning up the interior a bit and noticed i have small tear in my drivers seat right along the seem...Thinking maybe just a poor stitch from the factory or something. Does anyone know if this would potentially be covered under warranty figured the chances are slim but kinda frustrates me because I have maintained the truck to top notch and hate that something like this occurred with so few miles on it?
Thanks
Matt

how many miles do you have on it? Rips and tears won't be covered under warranty, because it's too hard to prove it was a material defect, not the user. However, if your seam has come unstitched, you may get them to FIX it. Not replace it, but have an interior specialist come in and re-sew the spot. That being said, don't hold your breath. If it's in a high traffic area, as in where you slide into your seat on entry/exit, you're probably beating a dead horse. Better off having an interior guy sew it for a whopping couple bucks. You wont need to re-seam, just patch work. You could probably do it yourself, and never even see it, as i have done on a few occasions. Be happy, stitching is the EASYIEST part of any fabric to fix.
