Drill Holes in Hump To Mount Pedestal

I have a 2000 F-150 Extended can with plain seats and vinyl floor. I need to install a Ham radio in the truck and have purchased a pedestal (similar to a Ram pedestal) to mount the radio on. I need to mount the pedestal on the hump between the front seat and the dash. If I drill a couple of holes there for mounting screws am I going to destroy something?

Best regards,

Ken B.

Lay under your truck and see if there is anything near the spot that you want to drill, ex wire harness, cables, lines etc. If not your good to go. I would also put silicone over the screws to keep water out.
