Spot under Steering Wheel

I have a question .. Has ANYONE found a use for the "Spot" Under the steering wheel in their 97-03.. It's taking up space and I'm looking to mount some switches down there. Anyone have pics?

i put a switch for my clarion in dash dvd player in there...
