Anyone Else Had This Problem...

I have a 98 F150 and the whole back window seal needs to be relaced. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem.

You have to take the third brake light off to see the seal.

a lot of 97's and 98's had this problem. I took mine to the dealer 3x's before they finally had a auto glass company replace the window and the seal

If it's a factory slider, the frame cracks, and the rear window needs to be replaced. It's been a while since I've seen it here, but there was a rash of failures documented here when these trucks were newer.

You know wut now that you mention it the plastic around the rear slider is cracked but I dont think thats where the water is comin in cause i checked that. If that plastic around the slider is cracked should I get it replaced?

If you have full glass coverage, see if your insurance company will replace the window. Tell them the plastic is cracked to get the whole window-including the seal replaced.

If you tell them the window simply leaks, they may not cover the replacement
