carpet dye

Not necessarily F-150 related, but has anyone used carpet dye before? I have a gray carpeted speaker box that I would like to dye black to match my other carpet. There are several different types of dye out there, but I don't which one to choose. Of course, I don't want any color fading or bleeding. Thanks.

JMO... But just strip the carpet and redo it...

The carpets cheap. And the task is probally a lot faster then dye...

Thanks for the reply. Normally that's what I would do, but the problem is that this is a JL Audio Stealthbox, which is fiberglass and has complex shapes. I don't know if it has molded carpet or what, but I wouldn't begin to know how to carpet it.
