Just pulled the clockspring out on accident. What do I do?

Just pulled the clockspring out on accident. What do I do?

If you lost the alignment of the slot on the wheel [clock spring] I don't think you can use it anymore. Do you have a pic of it you can post?

What do you mean by losing the alignment. I recoiled the clockspring and popped it back in. Is that OK? If not, can I still drive it? Like to get it fixed? Mac

I've never had to recoil one but from what I have read you can't realign one, new ones come with a pull tab that you remove after putting it on. If you need to take it somewhere just take it and the airbag off while driving.

Well I put everything back together and it didn't blow up in my face (although I sure didn't have my face anywhere near it) and the horn worked but I went ahead and took the airbag back out just in case and I'm going to take it somewhere tommorow. Thanks for helping, Mac
