Auto Door Lock - Disable?

Anyone have any luck disabling their auto door locks? I have followed the manual's directions close to 200 times without success. I am positive I am doing it right, but it is not working.

Short of taking it to the dealer, has anyone else been able to accomplish this feat? I am tired of my truck locking everytime I put it in drive or start the engine.

If yours is a Lariat I think if you press and hold the Info button it will take you to a menu that you can change that along with a few other things. If it is not info then it is one of the three message center buttons. Im not home to look in my truck.

JBrew, those are the same instructions. Kind of ridiculous. Give it a shot and see if it works.

2005lariat is correct, the Lariat (and my wife's expedition) makes it easy to disable. It is an option in the info center menu.

Old thread I know but currently having this problem. I actually successfully did it before a long time ago, not sure why Auto Door Lock is enabled again. With doors closed I follow the procedure but I never hear the chirp. Any ideas?

I did the same as JBREW on my 2010. It took me a couple times but it worked. It looks like the same instructions.
