I just bought a 98 F150, it's lifted 8 inches w 35" tires. I love everything about the truck so far except the fact that I can't throw my arm around my girl while i'm driving. My truck has captains chairs which are incredibly comfortable and a big center console. Can I just remove the center console and stick the center section from another seat in there or will I have to swap the whole thing out for a bench seat?

 

Not real sure about 98, but the 04 - up, it is a straight swap, no need to do the seats. I would say if you could find someone who has the bench seat, and measure the width and compare it to the gap between the two seats, just remember, it is designed to fit tight.

 

The way the armrests set on the side of the bucket seats makes me wonder if you can squeeze a bench center section in place of the Ginormous console but If it is possible I would like to swap it out. Anyone need a grey center console or wanna trade for a folding center seat section?

 

Anyone know if the 97-02 center section is interchangeable with a seat or not?
