Just bought 06 STX supercab found this forum to be a great source of info but cant find an answer to this next question . I had the rear door panel off my truck today and found that the rear windows do come down with the turn of a torx screw. My hope is that someone has found a way for me to utilize this feature without removing the panels every time i want to roll down the windows. I have thought about drilling a small hole just large enough for a t-handled torx but thats not very creative now is it ?Thanks

 

So did you figure out how to utilize the rear windows i am curious myself i got an 06 f150 stx and looked into getting the windows to roll up and down with a window crank but i was told only the lariat has that capability!

 

I'm curious too. I would like to utilize them and maybe power them when I power the fronts.

 

Sorry guys no luck so far I went ahead and drilled small holes in the rear panels and I use a torx driver it works better than nothing and the holes are barely noticable. I am now looking for a cool plug for the holes. If I make larger holes the options are vast. I thought for sure I would have heard something from this great forum but I guess the lack of response answers our question.

I have no pictures posted yet . I am still new to the forum and have not had the time to even take pictures of my truck. I hope to very soon . To answer your question honda rider my truck is an 06 STX extended cab I was ordering vent visors and the parts guy told me my windows rolled down in order to install in-channel visors I went home pulled the panels and what du yu no I found the torx style holes that roll down the rear windows.I installed the visors rolled up the windows and posted the question above. After no response I removed the panels made some measurements and drilled the holes just large enough to fit the torx driver. PS they are now electric roll downs if I use my cordless driver

 

idn how big or deep the screw is but im guessing its metal so hb this, find a torx stud however long you need to make it thru the door panel and add an inch to it and then fasten a crank to it. and to make it stay in the screw maybe use jb weld, or get a friend to weld it to the screw.

Thanks off road dude that was something I was considering . The problem I found was that was too permanent. If I welded in anyway it would be hard to remove the panel later.the t handle torx works and stores in the front with me away from my window crazed two year old thanks for the reply.
