Has anybody out there replaced their stock xlt cluster with a fx4 cluster? I really like the fx4 and would like to do this. Since they both have the same options on them can I just plug it in and have it work?

I know that I've seen where an xlt was upgraded with a lariat cluster however with the different type of odometer display and info center mods needed to be made in order for it to function properly. To me the fx4 and the xlt just seem to have a different layout and trim.

I did this to my 2005. You will have to load you trucks info into the fx cluster. I had my local ford dealer install and programed the cluster for $250Your mileage will have to be programed also. The person I got my cluster from did this for me. Check your dealer to see if they can do this for you.
