Console Questions (upper and lower)
Hey all,
I've got a couple console questions. First concerns the floor console. My '98 F150 Lariat SuperCab 2wd actually came with a 5-speed (kinda rare and unique, I think). I vaguely remember a member here a few years ago who was able to modify an Expedition console to fit a manual-shift truck and it actually worked and looked pretty clean. Does anybody remember who that is and/or how it was done? Secondly, again dealing with the same '98 F150; is there any way to put a roof console in it without major modifications or replacing the whole headliner? What do the roof consoles mount to? I probably wouldn't be able to make use of the digital readout info, but I could get the extra storage for glasses, etc. Would I have to change out the sunvisors? Thanks for any tips.

I know im like a month late on this one, but I just saw the link. And I too have been trying to find an Expy to get parts from. That member posted this link as a how to on putting an Expy console in an F150. Hope you will see this, and I hope it helps!

Hey, I may have found a hookup for you. I looked at maybe an '00 EB Expedition a few days ago at a salvage yard. It had beige leather interior with the full console and the wide console top with the seats without armrests. The front seats looked OK. They did have some stains, but maybe not permanent ones. I have no idea if it's still sitting there unmolested or not after a few days, but it has the stuff you're looking for, I think. If you'd like me to go back and check it out, let me know soon, or it may be in 1000 pieces. I'm not even sure why it was at the salvage yard. I didn't see any body damage at all. It was black and tan.
Back to the original request for info: this EB Expedition had the full roof console, which I would maybe like to put in my '98 F150. Will it work? What all has to go with it to make it fit?
