Help with sliced leather

My friend cut a slice with a razor on my center console lid. Its right through the leather and down to the plastic underneath. I have a 2003 f-150. Anybody know of the best way to fix this?

I'd ask him to have it repaired or replaced.

I help part-time at a friends custom upholstery shop.

You could have the cover removed, cut out the portion that's cut and make a patern of choice and have it sewed together or just have the whole cover replaced.

AYou might could get lucky and find a replacement in a salvage yard.

That sucks! I'd say ebay would be the first and easiest place to go, possibly the cheapest too. If that doesn't work out if you can find one at the junk yard that would probably be cheaper than taking it to a upholstrey shop. But if you don't mind spending the $$$ taking it to the shop would be the easiest thing.

junk/salvage yard

try a junk or salvage yard...make sure the leather is "aged the same" (faded)...i have a friend have the same thing happen to his headrest, he took all the headrest to a local upholstery shop and had his initial put inside the superman logo...just a thought...never miss a chance to make it your own
