Hey I have a 97 ext cab lariat and the carpet is starting to collect alot of stains from its many years of use. I'm thinking about replacing the carpet this summer with the replacement carpet they sell at stylinconcepts.com. I was just wondering how hard it would be to install it myself?

 

No one has ever replaced their carpet before?

 

I replaced the carpet in my truck abour 3months ago. Between stripping the interior out, includiing the old carpet , day and half because I let the new carpet lay in the truck to let it flatten and begin to mold to the truck floor. While I was stripping the interior I let the new lay in the sun to soften it up. The most time consuming thing was instead of cutting squares out for the bolts I used a punch to find them and then a large screwdriver to make them. Be sure you have the right size Torx heads for the seats and the seatbealts. I needed a #50 and a #55, Accorfing to which carpet you buy will depend if you need extar insulation under the carpet. I put down a layer of good insulation I got a Lowe's

1/2 Breed - How was your buying experience with them? I want to order the vinyl replacement floor for my screw. There website just doesnt fill me with confidence for some strange reason.
