So i searched and well couldln't quite find it but i was wondering how i am to remove the back seat of my 2002 Extended Cab Truck. I am putting a audio system in and would like to try to locate the amp behind it. Only seen backseat removals for the newer trucks and i got the old school model help please!

There are bolts on the floor for the seat...remove them and the seat should just come right out...I dont think it would be anymore complicated then that?

 

Im more talking about the back "rest" part than the actual screws for the floor.

I had to take the back seat out of my 00 SCAB for a body lift. There are the floor bolts hold the seat in place and as far as the backseat goes, I believe it is held in by 4 metal clips. The clips are durable and if I remember correctly, we had to yank the seat forward from the top and then lift up from the back. Don't worry about brwaking the clips, they will hold but I remember it was a pain. You may want someone else to help by lifting up on the backrest while you pull it. It'll come out eventually with enough force.
