On my 03 5.4 4x4, the driver's window does not automatically roll down if you just tap the button. i was under the impression that it would, since that the button does say "auto," and it did w/ the last ford i had... any suggestions as to why this is so?

 

Are you sure you're pushing the button all the way down?

 

You'll hear/feel a little click once you've pushed it down hard enough to activate the auto down feature.

 

hold it down for 1 full second, cant just tap it.

 

yah, push it a tad harder and it will go down a bit further
