I have a 98 f150 and the seat belt wont roll up on its own. Its stoppen about 8 inchs from being all rolled up and keeps getten slamed in the door. Is there a way to fix this?

 

Mine does the same thing. The only thing that would probably fix it is to replace the seat belt retractor/inertia wheel, whatever its called.

 

theres no way of recoiling the spring or such
how much of process is this?

 

I got a can of silicone spray lube with teflon and hosed down the belt. I pulled the belt outside the truck as far as it would go and then sprayed it down good and wiped off the excess. It retracts a lot better now. YMMV
