i have an 00 f150 supercab.
every once in a while i will be driving and a very annoying click will come from what sounds like behind the glove compartment or airbag.
anyone else had this problem?

 

hmm no, I have this taping sound under the tpcenter of my dash though, like some wire tapping it or something. could be the same in your case?

 

I had a very similar problem, and this is going to sound stupid on my part....but, i heard that same type of clicking noise, especially when coming to a stop...

Turns out, it was my damn keys hitting up against the dash...I felt like such a moron because I thought something was wrong

 

Does it stop if you turn off your HVAC fan? I've had leaves sneak in there before (my neighbor has pin oaks and pine trees) and make a crazy racket until the fan mulched them.

 

I have a 02 and I have the exact same problem. It comes from behind the glove compartment. When the truck was under warranty I had Ford look at it and they could never locate it. If you find out what it is I would sure like to know as it is becoming more frequent and drives me nuts!

 

ya i get the same thing but mine sounds like it is coming from the dash behind the steering wheel, no clue what it is but it annoys me.
