seat belts

seat belts

the seat belts in my truck seam too loose and dont retract when undone and sometimes gets stuck in door when i exit the truck. just getting worse. common? what can i do. i have a feeling wd40 may be involved.

I have the same problem with my 2000 150. I think the seatbelt retractors (or whatever they are called) just wear out over time.

ive got a 99 f150 and i have the same problem. i think it is just that way because it has been used so much. if you do find a way to fix that, please let me know. its a real pain in the a$$. thanks.

Go to your dealership and request new ones. Seatbelts and the retractors are covered by a lifetime warranty.

I did not know that. So if I take my truck to the dealer, they will replace the defective retractor?

Sounds like a good deal.

I just called two Ford dealers and they both told me the warranty is 5/50,000
