I have a 2000 F-150 Supercab Lariat w/ captains chairs. My center console lid has a hole in it I am just wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to purchase just the lid? I know the dealer has them but they would probably charge me $100 for this piece of plastic.
Also is there an alternative center console I might be able to install? The console is my only problem with the truck, it is just to low so you cant lean on it while you drive. I have always wanted one that was higher so I can drive more comforatably. I have heard that you can put in a Expedition console but is it really a direct replacement or is some kind of alteration required? Also does it come up higher?

there are two different "compatible" expy consoles.

cant tell you what year is what, but they made a short one similar to the one you have. And a long one that goes almost all the way up to the dash. I believe both come up higher then yours, but i think the long one comes up higher.

The expy console mod is popular with the lightning guys, so you might try looking for tips on Nloc.net I believe you just drill maybe 4-6 holes for the brackets and you are good to go!

Also if you just want a new lid, try looking on ebay.

I have been checking ebay.com & I am surprised that there is not more consoles on there. They did not have any lids for this though.

 

Just called the dealer. $70 for a replacement lid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

oh forget that man have some patients and keep checking ebay for a $20.00 lid, btw since your truck is a 2000 and not a Supercrew I suppose you have then 40/20/40 seat, not sure if the captains seats were available but I bet a 40/20/40 bench console lid will be a quicker find.

Also try the classifieds on here for one.

 

I do have the leather captains chairs with the console on the floor.
