New seats
New seats
I can't stand the bench seat in my '98 F150 4.2. Not only is it in really rough condition but it just isn't comfortable for my weekly 3 hour drives to Vermont. Is there any way I could switch it out with the "full seats and an arm-rest" front? I'm sure I could get one from a junkyard around here somewhere. I'm assuming its just a bolt-in kind of deal, but I thought I'd ask to be sure. Thanks!
Used seats from the same year and cab style should bolt right in.
You can also get some good deals on new seats on ebay. I swapped out the cloth bench seat from my '94 F-350 for a set of leather seats that I got on ebay. It was bucket seats with a center console. The center console folded up to provide a third seat. The sub frame was a direct bolt in to the existing holes in the floor and the 3 seperate seats bolted to the subframe. All three seats were on sliders so they could be moved independently. The center console/seat had storage in the console and under the seating surface. It was a real nice set-up.

Upgrading to the Lariat captains & center console would be good for you, Although the arm rests that are on my seats ( build on fold downs ) are so annoying and tend to cramp up my shoulder, '02 - '03 seats would do better.
