i need to know how this part of the center armrest comes apart/off .. any help would be appreciated

 

im going to just guess on this one, but here it goes

Pull the side plastic covers off the uprights, like the stationary part that it all pivets on

Unscrew the hidden screws, remove lid, then see if there is a way the apoholstry can be pulled off, (like a slip cover) or see if there is a hidden screw somewhere inside the container.

Chances are you pull the slip cover, and there are screws that hold the cup holder down,
Or that you can just pop the entire plastic insert out (inside the console) And unscrew the back of the cupholders.

I havent done it before, So again this is just me guessing on what i would try if i were doing it.

Are you trying to upgrade to the newer double cup style?

no i'm going to make a fiberglass peice to hold my remotes for the indash, the sirius tuner, cell phone, and ipod.. sincei always seem to trya nd cram 4 things in that lil cup holder i neevr use for a cup anyways.. so i'm gonna make a custom fiberglass peice that holds all my stuff..

ok i got it it jsut pops right off.... but on the other hand the custom peice is in th works.. it's not going to be anything real specail, just a lil improvement on what the stock is ..

 

cool, so you just grab both sides of the cup holder trim piece, and pull up?

how much did you end up tearing down before you realized it just pops off?
