97 F150 XL seat swap

I'm looking to remove a 60/40 bench from my truck and install a 60/40 with the arm rest (something like the lariat). I can tell that my bench has 4 mounting areas and from what I can tell the lariat seat has 6 mounts. Has any one done this? What kind of modifications needed to be done? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I must say, this is the second or third time that I have posted-which I don't have many and no response. Are the task that I am coming across unheard of? Are people no willing to help? Hmmmm....

look under your carpet for additional holes.

Another Route you could try is to find a halfway decent seat out of a 87-90 F-150/F-250 i use to have an 89 F-250 w/ a bench seat w/ an arm rest and that had 4 mounting points but check to see if the holes will line up in you truck 1st

Obviously mark where the two you will need to find are by putting the new seat in and cut a small X where they will be going. Rubber plugs should be under there. You get to tap those holes, unless you got lucky and an overzealous employee was on the line the day of your assembly.

I could swear it only needs five but if one of the two you will need is near the cab wall in the middle (if it's a reg. cab) that will hold down the middle rear seat pedastal and the middle seat/console seatbelt. If that needs to be tapped it should be a 12x1.75x25 MM.

If there is another one, check it against the other bolts and it most likely will be a 10x1.50x25 MM

By the way, Sears Hardware, Ace and even Ford SUCK at having these bolts. Figure out what you need on the pitch (or bring it with you) and go to Lowe's or Home Depot. Two steel bolts vs. four rubber coated is not that big of a deal.

This is all theoretical, I just had to do this crap to bolt in a expy console and seats and they require mainly the same holes and a couple of new ones.

Good luck to you.

I hope that's understandable as now even to me it looks like gibberish.
