I'm looking for a small overhead console to mount a couple of guages....... the only reason for it.
I know some modification will be required.........
I shopped it on E-bay, but the best / small one I saw was out of a Concord or something like that.
I want to keep my full length visors, so mini is the word.

 

Are you gonna put the console in the center and aim the gauges toward you, or in front of you above your head? My truck has a center console with the two drop panels in it...Would be pretty cool to buy one of the cheap Autometer 2pod pillars and mold it to that somehow.

I'm thinking of modifying two gauges just above my radio in the surround.

I plan to use it just for trans temp and coolant temp - angled to the driver if possible.
I thought about the gauge pod mod too, but it seems pretty challenging to make it look good.
I actually saw the drop down version on e-bay for my year and color, but I didn' think it would be easy to modify.

I never thought about the space above the aftermarket stereo ......super idea...... I'll check it out.
