Leather cleaning help

Ok I posted this same question over at Ford Truck World.....I have a black spot on my leather on the console armrest. I bought some Armorall leather wipes...and they do wonders for the leather, but dont remove the dark spots. When I was wiping the black area....I noticed brown coming off onto the wipe. Was this dye? And another question, is saddle soap bad for trying to clean this type of leather (basically its King Ranch leather). Thanks in advance!

Masterd... don't use saddle soap on KinG ranch leather... do a search on "conditioner" or "leather care" in the King Ranch forum here... there is a ton of information on how best to clean and care for the Castano leather in the KR. Although I prefer Leathermaster products, others like Lexol (conditioner only!), Leather CPR and the conditioner from the King Ranch Saddle shop.

The leather in the KR is unprotected "analine" leather - I'd suggest stop using the Armor All wipes and get some proper conditioner. Again, do a search in the KR forum and if you have any additional questions, post them in that forum. It's going to take a little work to get your leather back in shape, but it will be worth it....
