It sounds like everyone with an 05 are not having problems with seat staining. Ford must have done something! Like Rockpick, I have rented an 04 from enterprise that had hardly any miles and the seats looked absolutly disgusting. My son just ordered a xl and got the vinyl, but it sounds like they may haved resolved the problem. They should have to make good all the 04's but they will never admit that theres a problem.

Mine's an early '05, (10/94) so I have the crappy seats still. I should have been clearer, my friend with the detail business can get them clean, they just don't stay clean very long.

Dont use resolve. I used resolve interior cleaner or something like that to get some stains out of my roof (hand prints) and on my seats and it cleaned the original stain but then left a bigger stain in it from the resolve. It bummed be out. The roof had this huge stain on it until i took the vacuum to it and it came out but the seats are still stained. Im just going to get the whole truck detailed and have them wash the seats and see if maybe that will clean the truck completely. Im pissed though because i put a cup on my center console and it leaves a ring and i cant get it out. I dont know what to do.

I put automotive grade Scotch Guard on my seats over the summer & no more spotting. It stinks like hell for the first few days but it eventually goes away.

Cool Stained seats

I have the same problem with my 2004 Supercrew tan cloth seats. I called the dealer today and they said that due to many customer complaints on the cloth seats, Ford will be going back to using the cloth material that they used on the 01 F150's. According to Ford, there has also been alot of complaints of the staining of the King Ranch leather seats. Supposedly, they stain just as bad (water, etc). The dealer suggested adding aftermarket leather seats for about $900 or so, as supposed to trading in my vehicle for a new one with leather seating (Lariat). They recommended Classicsofttrim.com. I'm calling them tomorrow for a quote. Hope this helps.

There was a treatment for interior and they called it perma treatment. it was really nice one and it has a seven year warranty. I will try to contact them for my 05 SuperCrew, Unfortunatelly, we have the same interior color (Tan)
