Question Anyone else have a problem with this?

Just curious but in my truck it seem's like my rear view mirror is kind of low... it cut's off my visibility to the right of me out the front window. Half the time I have to crouch down to see if there is anyone at the intersection waiting to cross in front of me. I have my seat tilted a bit... I don't like to tilt it too much because then I get tired and that's not good I was thinking of just ripping it out and using my side view's but then I figured that I could probably just buy some window glue and remount it a bit higher...

I have the same problem. I am tall enough that I can look over the top, but mostly just look around it. It is a pain in the A$$ but I just dont worry to much about it.

Cool

I just move the mirror up as far as it will go.

Ditto. That's what I did, too. Push that mirror stalk up high as it'll go, then readjust the mirror. Improved visual area for me!

Cool

Can't say I have ever noticed, but I will now that it was brought to my attention.

Thumbs up

I just undid the mounting screw and rised it as much has I could. Worked for me. Now I just leave the screw a little loose and take it off as I need to.

I am interested in the CompuSTAR alarm. With the pager and all. Does anyone knwo what I should expect to pay for this?

What is MSRP? I think it's about $750.00US

What have other people paid?

Any problems for those who may have bought it?

I was just quoted 950 from a local isntaller. Seemed very high to me.

Thanks.

Since you have two outside mirrors, simply remove the darned inside RV mirror and you'll wonder how you ever tolerated the thing in the first place (this suggestion void if you constantly exceed the speed limit and have your eyes glued to the rear looking for red/white dome lights -- in which case the mirror is right where you need it).

these things are just glued to the window, so talk to an auto glass place to see how hard it is to remove and re-glue higher up the windshield.

Or...

...buy a new 'thingy' and glue it above the one now on your window -- since your mirror will be in line with that old one, only your window cleaner (if you drive in New York) or the birds (if you live in Michigan) will know there are two on the glass.

Same problem here

Took it off the night I got home from the dealer, and tossed it in the tub of stock parts that go back on when I get rid of the truck.

I do this with every truck I get.

When I drove a semi I got used to not having it, and have never used once since.
