Post Sticky Leather Steering Wheel---Any Ideas

While wiping Lexol on my new leather seats
I said to myself, might as well do the steering wheel, it's leather too.
Now it seems sticky, gooy. And ideas how to clean and remove the first coat of Lexol Leather Protectant.

Just use the Lexol Cleaner on the wheel.

I've found that you really gotta buff off the Lexol protectant until the leather shines and doesn't "snag" the towel.

Go get yerself some babywipes....You know, the disposable cloths moms (& dads) use to clean up those little stinky butts...

I had two kids and never figured out what a good interior cleaner they were, till the kids got older and it wasn't till my coworker showed me how WONDERFUL they are!
and if they're good for little babies, they won't damage the interior panels.

Hint: You can buy the little packs that will fit handily in your door pouch...the ones designed to shove in mom's purse.

Yeah. But get the ones that don't have any scent (They do exist). That disgusting baby lotion smell stays around forever in the cab. Driving to lunch with a co-worker one day, my friend said (a WEEK after I had cleaned my dash) "Did you change a baby in here?". I pitched those stinky wipes the moment I returned home.

Holy Cow Xtruky! What inspired that paint job, it looks like a '69 Camaro; and I mean that in good way.

I was sitting at a stop light in my little town, on three out of four corners there were white SCrews, I said to myself this ain't going to work. I've always had my vehicles different, and I think this would qualify as different. Originally the accent color was going to be Viper Red, then Viper Blue, then ai was at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction held yearly in Scottsdale Arizona. It was a beautiful January day, warm, and Very Sunny day and across a huge field this one PT Cruiser stuck out. I went over and asked about the color, it was House of Kolor- Sunset Opange Pearl. Now that's how I chose the color.
It still has to have some more accents done to it, either Purple- or Turquoise, or lime green.

Well, I'd say leave it alone, but whatever floats your boat.

Baby wipes.... that is what I thought. Works great though! I now carry a zip lock bag full in my console. Thanks for the idea!

Lightbulb

Try rubbing some Pledge (furniture polish) into it. I used it for five years on and Eldorado and it works great. No sticky, AND no wear! I've used it a year on my Lariat and the wheel is clean, not sticky, and NO WEAR.
