I bought a 2000 extended cab black F150 w/ 6cylinder and 5 speed trans. Everything is great EXCEPT the seat, one piece bench. Uncomfortable, no lower support and a feeling of being hunched forward. Brought it to the dealer, service agreed it was uncomfortable but said there was nothing they could do, except buy a new one for$1000.00 -right. Gave me a number to Ford they said same thing. They did say someone would review the problem. Anybody else experience this. Any suggestions? Can the seat be modified to recline? Are there inserts to increase suport in lower back?

Man i know how it is... I hate my bench seat! It is uncomfortable and i am trying to find captain seats but no luck. I wish i could figure out a way to modify it to recline. I feel like i am sitting forward to. Not fun, uncomfortable, and not much solution.

 

Go to Ebay. There are some new bench seats and some captain chairs for sale also. The company that sells them has a site also where they sell them outright. They are seats removed from conversions.

You could put some spacers (or a 2x4ish type of modification) under the front mounting brackets or legs of the seat!
