Post B-Quiet Sound Insul. report

I read about the B-Quiet Sound Insulation on this board and since it's mucho cheaper than Dynamat decided to try it out.
I got the 90sqft roll shipped for U$98 from the factory and installed it over a period of 4 days. I did the 4 doors, the back wall behind the rear seat and the floor. Inside the doors against the outer skin plus one big sheet under the door panels. Extra layer behind speakers. Solid layer on back wall, extra over the vents. One main layer and leftovers on floor after removing seats and carpet.
Now after a few months, there is good news and bad news.
----Good Stuff:
It really works and quiets road noise substantially.
Low odor, after a few days the asphalt smell is gone.
Easy to work with and one roll does the entire truck.
The stereo sounds different without the door rattles.
---- Bad Stuff
It's nasty stuff and your hands end up black.
It is for low temperature use only. This was the biggest disapointment. The double layer behind the speakers in the doors slides down/seperates after the outside temp reaches >80deg in direct sun. Single layers hold up much better. Don't even think of using this in the overhead. If the B-Quiet is held up by like doorpanel pins and screws it will not move.
Stereo sounds different. If you have the perfect sound now it will suck after the insulation install.

Given that the cost was 1/4 of what a Dynamat install would have been, I'll consider it a worthwhile mod. I drive long distances at times and the reduced roadnoise is much less fatiquing. I can actually whisper in my truck at 70mph and everybody can understand. If B-Quiet is installed with the above caveats it should last the life of the truck. Personally I recommend nothing inside the doors except one sheet behind the speakers. One layer all the way around the back and floor. Upgrade the stereo afterwards. Keep WD40 or painthinner handy for cleanup. Have beer in the cooler.
