Unhappy Lumbar broke!

I drove off of a small curb earlier today, and when I was bounced into the seat(not very hard either) the lumbar support made a clinking sound and collapsed. Now the **** just spins, and won't do anything. Has anyone else had this happen to them? And was it just a part coming loose? Or was it a broken piece? I am planning to pull the seat cover loose to check it out,but if it's not a quick fix,I won't bother with it,,,,,98

I broke the one on the '97 F150 I used to own by turning it a little too far. Something popped and the **** just spun after that, like yours. Took it to the dealer and they fixed it under warrantee. I had to wait a week or so for the parts to come in but other than that, no big deal.

Unhappy

Thanks for the response,and quickness!
I think I just answered my own question
The cable that actuates the lumbar, snapped clean right at the point where it enters the mechanism. I guess I'll order the part later, and fix it when I get the time.
Shoot! I am leaving on a long trip next Thurs. That lumbar support really saved my back on long trips. The cable looked like it was ready to go for some time, and just waiting for the right moment,,,,,,98
