Steering Wheel
Hey guys. there's only 1 thing I don't like about the F150: that Gadawful ugly steering wheel. it looks like it belongs on a Buick, not a truck. Ford does make a cool looking steering wheel that is standard on the "harley davidson" edition F150 as well as the new Explorers. my question is this: how difficult is it to swap the two? has anyone ever done this? thanks in advance!

Get your new steering wheel and take to the dealer they will charge you $40.00 for swaping it.

How much does the steering wheel in the 2001 Lightning go for? They look like the explorer ones.

Ford Racing Performance Parts has 2 wheels in their 2000 Catalog. They accommodate the cruise and air bag.

Replacing the steering wheel is fairly easy.
These instructions are for the Mustang, but virtually all newer Ford steering wheels have the same setup.
