Question Somebody Help!!

I guess this is an interior question. I unbolted the passenger side front shoulder harness on my '97 Supercab and now the thing won't release and unwind. Now it won't reach to the floor so I can bolt it back in. Anyone have any idea how to release the thing to get it bolted back up? I'm not against taking it to the dealer, but if it's something simple I would just as soon do it myself. Thanks a million.

It's called an inertia reel. If it's not upright
and pulled slowly,it won't unroll for you.
I know from personal experience=-) Try
holding it the exact way it is mounted in the truck originally,if there is any slack left
let it take some in and while holding it the way it's supposed to sit, slowly pull it out.
If it doesn't come out, keep trying,it'll come out eventually. This is how the belt keeps you secure if your truck flips,or is involved in an accident. Be patient, and good luck,,,,98
